1. About these terms

These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and Looflash ("we", "us") about the Looflash app and its online features (the "App"). By downloading or using the App, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the App.

2. The App

Looflash helps you learn vocabulary in another language. You can create your own flashcards and practice them. You can also use AI features, such as generating flashcard sets, chatting with an AI assistant, getting example sentences and word details, and listening to pronunciations.

You do not need an account. When you first use an online feature, the App receives a random, anonymous identifier. This identifier is not linked to your name, your email address or any other account.

Your flashcards are stored on your device. If cloud sync is turned on on your device, they are also stored in your own cloud account. We do not keep a separate copy, so we cannot restore lost content.

3. Age

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under the age at which you can accept these terms yourself in your country, a parent or guardian must accept them for you.

4. Your content

Everything you create in the App belongs to you. When you use an online feature, you allow us and our service providers to process the content you send, only to provide that feature. We never sell your content and never use it for advertising.

Please do not enter sensitive personal information into the AI features, such as health information, identity numbers or passwords. Do not enter other people's personal information either.

5. AI features

• An AI model from a service provider generates the answers automatically. No person checks them.
• Answers can be wrong or incomplete. This also applies to translations, definitions and pronunciations. Check important information with another source.
• Answers are for language learning only. They are not professional advice.
• You may use the answers you receive freely. Other users may receive similar answers.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• break the law or violate the rights of others;
• use the AI features to create harmful, hateful, sexual or misleading content;
• get around usage limits or security measures, or access our servers in any way other than through the App, such as with bots or scripts;
• disrupt or overload the service;
• copy, modify or reverse engineer the App, unless the law allows it.

7. Limits and availability

• The App is currently free. If we add paid features later, you will see their price and conditions before you buy.
• Online features have daily limits. When you reach a limit, you can continue the next day. Your flashcards and practice keep working.
• Online features need an internet connection and may sometimes be unavailable. We may change or remove features. Features that work on your device do not depend on our servers.
• Some features may require the latest version of the App.

8. Our rights

The App, its design, its texts and the Looflash name belong to us. We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use the App on your own devices. This right is subject to these terms and to the terms of the app store you downloaded the App from.

9. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains which data the App processes and what your rights are.

10. No warranty

The App is provided "as is". We work to make it useful and reliable. However, we do not guarantee that it will always work without errors or that you will reach a particular learning result.

11. Liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages or loss of data caused by using the App or by relying on AI answers. This does not limit liability that the law does not allow us to limit, for example liability for intent or gross negligence.

Nothing in these terms takes away the rights you have as a consumer under the laws of the country where you live.

12. Ending your use

You can stop using the App and delete it at any time. You can delete your content in the App's settings.

If you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, we may block your access to the online features. Features that work on your device are not affected.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. We will publish the new version on this page with a new date. We will also announce important changes in the App. If you keep using the App after a change, the new terms apply.
